Fruit of the Loins
What you see are BEADS.
Inspired by the suggestive work of Georgia O’Keefe, I started these paintings with “It’s a Grapefruit”. Like all of my paintings, the joy, for me, is in the process and less the end result. Each piece is made by individually gluing tiny seed-sized beads onto the canvas.
These pieces feel very contained, and beautiful. Like fruits in their skin.
