Forever inspired by the suggestive work of Georgia O’Keefe, I started these paintings 2 years ago with “It’s a Grapefruit”. I was going through a lonely wave in time and wanted to keep my hands occupied as I listened to podcasts or watched tv. Like all of my paintings, the joy, for me, is in the process and less the end result.

This series is a big turn from my abstract work where the joy comes from stretching canvas and making very large brush strokes.

These pieces feel very contained, and beautiful. Like fruits in their skin.
